Miscarriage & Recurrent Miscarriage

The Do’s and Don’ts

Over the years I’ve seen many people that have fallen pregnant only to miscarry. Unfortunately some of this could have prevented from happening.

Just as falling pregnant requires change; once you have fallen pregnant it requires you to maintain those changes. What you have to remember, if you suffer from recurrent miscarriage, is that you are not like everyone else. You may have taken a long time to get to this point and have to look after yourself. You have to take every precaution and if that means stopping work, then so be it.

Work and work related stress is a major cause of fertility issues and especially miscarriage. I’ve seen many go straight back to work and dive head first into the ever flowing stress pot of their jobs. Many of people are choosing job, even after signs of bleeding, abdominal pains, spotting and cramps. These all means you need to slow down and take it easy. It is sad when people choose to ignore these signs and end up miscarrying because of work related stress.

If you are pregnant and do start to get some cramping, spotting, etc, please rest immediately. Take time off work. Leave work if you have to. Don’t go to the gym and lift weights etc. You shouldn’t be going to the gym in the first trimester anyway. Don’t lift anything heavy and stay away from stressful situations and stressful people. All these can bring on a miscarriage. Yes, an argument can bring on a miscarriage.

If you have had a history of miscarriage, or are pregnant, you should be on Chinese herbs from day 1. At Shen Therapies we have a special herbal formulation to prevent miscarriage and recurrent miscarriage. It is based on an old ancient formula that it literally translated in to “Keep The Foetus Formulation”. We call our formulation “Implant”. We call it this because it helps with preventing miscarriage and helps with implantation.

You should also be taking a good practitioner quality multivitamin and some omega 3 oils and also be increasing your protein and essential fats in the diet. You also need to cut down on the high GI foods (Breads, cereals, pasta, chocolate etc) to keep the body out of an inflammatory state.

I can say again to those people, who are miscarrying regularly, you need to address what is causing it. Don’t go out and lift weights at a gym, take on extra workloads, run marathons. These all can cause miscarriage in the early stages. Maybe some of you need to look at why you keep making these mistakes.

If you truly do want a baby, then, slow down, reduce work hours, go for slow relaxing walks. Low grades stress can be a major factor when it comes to miscarriage. Learn to relax and find some quiet time. Increase your protein and essential fatty acid consumption.

Most of all get some Chinese Medicine and some Acupuncture to prevent miscarriage in the first place. Give us a call we can definitely help you sustain a happy and healthy pregnancy.
